How We Make Humanure Compost Toilets




Delivery of timber to the site

We look for best timber that we use to make the toilets and make sure that we deliver them to them to the site.



Construction of the floor

Our craftsman do the laying of the floor first before lifting it and making the walls.



A Finished Humanure Toilet

This is a fully build toilet. The Humanure team is working on the painting and making of the compost pit



Collection of buckets

We get buckets from the market and also from warehouses that have empty paint buckets.



Toilet boxes

Boxes are made and is used as the seat in the Humanure compost toilets.



Toilet seats

We fix plastic toilet seat on the boxes to make them more comfortable.

The interior look of the complete humanure toilet consisting of the seat and saw dust.



Compost area

Compost pits are made to accomodate the waste for a period of time allowing them to decompost.

Welcome To Humanure Kenya

Humanure Kenya is a Non-Governmental Organization started in the year.... by Mr. Samson Muhalia Angweye. His intention was to help the schools and slums communities to have better sanitation, through building of Humanure Compost Toilets. Humanure Kenya also improves farming in that the waste obtained from the toilets are decompost and later used in our farms growing crops.
